A Big Heart

I now have an official medical confirmation that I have a big heart.

Last year, during a routine medical check-up, everything came back fine. But at one point the doctor paused and said: your heart is larger than average.

I smiled and replied, “Well, doctor, what can I say — I have a big heart.”

A joke, of course. But later, I thought about it more seriously.

If even a doctor says I have a big heart, it would be a shame not to live up to it. Let it be a reminder to love more. To show kindness. To care. To practice empathy. To be generous and open-handed.

The diagnosis is official now.
No excuses left.
